Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do - Jun Fan Kickboxing
Bruce Lee’s Chinese name is Lee Jun Fan. Jun Fan Gung Fu translates to Bruce Lee’s Gung Fu. Bruce Lee was a student of the science of self-defense. Bruce Lee began researching various fighting styles after studying Wing Chun and Tai Chi to include northern Praying Mantis, Southern Praying Mantis, Choy Li Fut, Eagle Claw, Western Boxing, Wrestling, Fencing, Judo and Jiu Jitsu.
Bruce Lee’s philosophy decades before modern day mixed martial arts was “Absorb what is useful, discard what is useless and add what is specifically your own”. The core of Jun Fan Gung Fu is kickboxing with emphasis in comfort within the ranges of kicking, punching, trapping and grappling.
Jeet Kune Do means “The way of the Intercepting fist” and is the philosophy of self-discovery and expressing the human body. Jun Fan Gung Fu is a curriculum to train the principles and concepts of JKD.
